FAQ's
ARE REFUNDS ALLOWED?
All ticket sales are final and no refunds will be given.
Insurance may be purchased through Competion Corner using FanShield at the time of ticket purchase.
If the event is canceled by the hosts for any reason, all registrants will be given a full refund, minus registration fees. (*This does not include rescheduling the event)
If the event needs to be rescheduled to a later date due to weather or any other circumstances, we will give participants an option to attend the event on a newly scheduled date or transfer their ticket to a new teammate. Refunds will not be offered.
WHAT IF THERE IS A TIE?
If two Teams are tied, the scoring system/leaderboard will look to see which Team had the most, highest placements. If Team A place 1, 1, 1, 6 and Team B placed 2, 2, 2, 3 then Team A wins the tie breaker. If both Teams had the same best placings then the Team who won WOD 1 is the tie breaker. It continues in this manner until it finds the overall better Team.
UNCOMMON MOVEMENT CLAUSE
We don't state every possible scenario that might be possible or allowed for our movements. We try to clearly state the minimums required for reps to be accepted. If we don't explicitly state whether you can or can't do something then the final step you should take is to consider the "Uncommon Movement Clause."
"Any movement deemed uncommon or out of the ordinary, or used to amend, shorten, or change the accepted movement standard or range of motion, including line of action, of any event movement can and will be disallowed. It is the responsibility of the athlete to notify the judge, Apache CrossFit and the Three's Company Throwdown staff of any questionable movement before the workout."
PRIZES
Money will be awarded to the top teams. All prizes will be paid in U.S. dollars. Compensated athletes may be required to present valid identification to claim prizes. Additional prizes may be presented by partners, sponsors, or select vendors. It is the athlete’s sole responsibility to comply with paying any and all applicable taxes in connection with any prizes, regardless of whether such a prize is cash or check.
EQUIPMENT AND ATTIRE
Proper workout attire, including shoes, is required for all events. No attire shall interfere with a judge’s ability to determine whether the required movement standards and expectations for range of motion are being met. No attire shall be worn with the intent to shorten or reduce the range of motion of any movement. Subject to our prior approval, chalk, weight belts, non-tacky gloves, gymnastics wraps, hand tape, neoprene joint sleeves, and common fitness wear may be allowed during competition. In general, support gear that improves safety and/or comfort but does not confer advantage is allowed. Should the workout call for a pull-up bar, athletes may wear hand protection (gymnastics-style grips, gloves, etc.), but they may not tape or alter the pull-up bar. Athletes may not use protective gear in a manner that provides additional grip assistance or weight support, e.g., wrapping a gymnastics grip around the bar for deadlifts or pull-ups. Common support attire that is not allowed includes but is not limited to: knee or elbow wraps, gymnastics “hook and loop” grips, and tacky non-chalk substances used to enhance grip. Unless otherwise stated, athletes may not receive assistance moving or placing equipment during any workout. Electronic devices such as music players and headphones may not be worn. Devices such as mobile phones, tablets, or other portable media devices may not be brought to the competition floor. Watches, WHOOP straps, and heart-rate monitors are permitted.
PARKING/SPACE
There will be plenty of parking available as well as a grass lot if you'd like to bring a tent, canopy, chairs, etc. to relax outside in between events. This area will be used rain or shine.
*Apache CrossFit and The Three's Company Throwdown are not responsible for any lost items.
