About This Competition
Welcome to Conquer the Coast – the North West’s newest and toughest fitness competition, coming to Victoria Park, Southport, in July 2025!
This full-day event will challenge teams of four (2 men, 2 women) with a series of high-intensity workouts designed to test every aspect of fitness—strength, endurance, agility, and teamwork. Experience the thrill of taking functional fitness outdoors, surrounded by the stunning setting of Southport’s coastline.
Beyond the competition, the event will be packed with top-tier vendors supplying everything you need for an epic day—gear, food, supplements, and more. Are you ready to take on the challenge and leave it all on the field?

Workouts
WORKOUT 1
Time Cap: 15:00
Format: Team of 4 (MMFF)
Scoring: Max burpees over worm (final movement = score)
Workout Flow:
1600m Run (as a team)
One athlete drops off every 400m to begin the next portion:
Athlete 1 drops at 400m
Athlete 2 at 800m
Athlete 3 at 1200m
Athlete 4 completes full 1600m
Athletes begin on machines as soon as they return from the run.
Calories Bike + Row (split however needed)
Rx: 130 cals total on both Bike and Rower
Everyday: 100 cals total on both Bike and Rower
20 Under Overs (team)
Two athletes at a time move under and over the log
Team cycles through until all 20 team reps are complete.
Max Burpees Over Worm (Score)
All athletes work synchro.
Rep counts only when athlete jumps or steps over the worm
Continue until time cap.
Everyday Category
Station 1:
- 12 Team Rope Climbs
- (12ft rope, shared as needed between the team)
- 60 Synchro Knee Raises
- (Performed in pairs, 2 athletes working at a time, synchro required)
- 30 Worm Clean & Jerks
Progress with the worm to Station 2
Station 2:
- 12 Team Rope Climbs
- (12ft rope)
- 30 Worm Push Press
- (4 athletes working together)
Progress with the worm to Station 3
Station 3:
- 60 Synchro Knee Raises
- (In pairs, synchro)
- 10 Lateral Burpees Over the Worm
- (Each athlete completes 10 reps)
- 10 Worm Clean & Jerks
Finish with a Sprint to the Finish Line
Time Cap: 20:00
Everyday Category:
Workout Flow:
- Same relay-style format as RX.
- One athlete works at a time, three teammates hold the worm at their shoulders.
- Once all four athletes have gone, the team finishes together with a Team Lunge Sprint.
Each athlete completes:
- 50m Sprint
- 10 Thrusters (35kg / 25kg barbell)
- 15 Burpees Over Bar
- 50m Sprint
Once all 4 athletes have gone:
The full team completes a Team Lunge Sprint to the finish line.

Same format as RX, with Everyday weights:
Part 1 – Pair Relay:
Hang Power Cleans
- 100m Sandbag Sprint (together, 30kg sandbag)
- 20 Synchro Hang Power Cleans (42.5kg / 30kg – each athlete has their own barbell)
- 100m Sandbag Sprint
Tag the next pair.
Part 2 – Pair Relay:
Shoulder-to-Overhead
- 100m Sandbag Sprint
- 15 Synchro Shoulder-to-Overhead (42.5kg / 30kg – both athletes with their own bar)
- 100m Sandbag Sprint
Tag the next pair.
Part 3 – Pair Relay:
Clean & Jerks
- 100m Sandbag Sprint
- 10 Synchro Clean & Jerks (42.5kg / 30kg – both athletes with their own bar)
- 100m Sandbag Sprint
Tag the next pair.
Final Team Sprint
After both pairs finish Part 3:
All 4 athletes complete a Final Team Sprint together (no sandbag).
