About This Competition
Best of The Wurst is back! Our annual partner competition returns Saturday, November 6th!
There will be 3 workouts, a floater, and a Final (for the top teams in each division). Cash Prizes to the Top Team in each division, along with other great prizes!
Divisions are Male/Male, Female/Female, & Male/Female for RX and Scaled. There will also be an "Open" Teen Division (any combination of gender partners).
All workouts are up except for the Final!
Registrations closes one week before event on 10/29/21.

Max Calorie Row
* Event 1 will have both partners working at the same time. One partner will be working through the 12 minute AMRAP of 15 Wallballs, 12 Chest to Bar Pull Ups, and 9 Shoulder to Overhead, while one partner is rowing for max calories. Partners may switch off on the AMRAP and Row however they see fit. The Partner that is rowing may not leave the seat of the rower until tagged to switch out by the Partner performing the AMRAP. The partner that was rowing will pick up in the AMRAP where their partner left off. The score for this workout is total reps from the AMRAP plus total calories accumulated on the rower during the 12 minutes.

* Event 3 is For Time workout consisting of bike calories, synchro toes to bar, and squat cleans. Athletes will start on the bike. One partner will be working on the first set of bike calories while the other rests, they may switch out on the bike at as they wish. Once the athletes finish the first set of bike calories they will move onto the Synchro Toes to Bar where they will perform 28 reps in unison the first time through. After the completion of the first set of synchro toes to bar the athletes will perform 24 Squat cleans on a preloaded bar. The athletes can split the cleans as needed with one partner working and one partner resting. Once done with the set of 24 cleans the partners will load the next weight for the cleans onto the barbell before moving back to the bike for the second time where they will reset their own bike before starting the second set of calories. The workout will continue in this fashion of bike, synchro toe to bar, squat clean, load the bar, reset bike until the final set of 8 squat cleans is completed. There will be a 15 minute cap on this event. There is no minimum rep requirement on the bike or squat cleans, for example one athlete can perform all the cleans if they so desire.
4 Rep Max "Hand-Release" Deadlift
* After completion of the 6 Rounds for Time, teams will have till the 15 minute mark for both athletes to mind their max.
Both athletes must establish a 4 rep max. Event 2, Part 2 will be scored separately.
Athletes' hands must stay on the barbell throughout the 4 reps with the hands flashing open at the bottom.
The bar cannot rest on the ground between reps for longer than 3 seconds.
The bar may be dropped from the top after the completion of the 4th rep.
