About This Competition

That's right, the annual team of 2 summer throwdown is back, and we're excited to see what hectic fun can be had on a brand new pull up rig! This same-sex partner competition brought to you by your friends at Misfit Gym will be a treat for athletes of all ability levels. The Firebreather division is for pairs looking to test their might against what we would refer to as "Rx Open-level workouts", with the Community division being designed to make sure all who participate can have "fun" 😈. You can expect 3-4 workouts that span a balanced mix of time domains and movements, with the ultimate goal of testing your fitness and teamwork skills. Registration Deadline*: Friday July 12th *Teams that register prior to Friday June 14th will receive a free t-shirt to be picked up during athlete check in. Please indicate your shirt sizes when registering your team!

Workouts

Firebreather For time, all movements performed synchronized: 10 Wall Walks 20 Toes to Bar 30 Overhead Squats 95/65lbs 15 Burpee Box Jump Overs 24/20" Time Cap: 6 minutes Community For time, all movements performed synchronized: 10 Wall Walks to tape 30 Sit Ups 30 Overhead Squats 65/45lbs 15 Burpee Box Jump or Step Overs 24/20" Time Cap: 6 minutes

Firebreather For time: Run 400m 36 Cleans 135/95lbs 36 Pull Ups Run 400m 24 Cleans 135/95lbs 24 Chest to Bar Pull Ups Run 400m 12 Cleans 135/95lbs 12 Bar Muscle Ups Runs are performed as 200m per athlete, relay style. Split cleans and gymnastics anyhow, 1 athlete working at a time. Time Cap: 15 minutes At the 15:00 time cap, teams rest 1:00 before beginning Event 3. Community For time: Run 400m 36 Cleans 95/65lbs 36 Burpees Run 400m 24 Cleans 95/65lbs 24 Ring Rows Run 400m 12 Cleans 95/65lbs 12 Pull Ups Time Cap: 15 minutes Runs are performed as 200m per athlete, relay style. Split cleans and gymnastics anyhow, 1 athlete working at a time. At the 15:00 time cap, teams rest 1:00 before beginning Event 3.

Each teammate finds a 1RM Clean Complex: 1 Clean 1 Front Squat 1 Hang Clean All performed without dropping the bar. Teams may make as many attempts as desired within the 5:00 window. As long as the bar is off the floor prior to the "beep", the athlete may complete the lift and count it if successful. Time Cap: 5 minutes

Firebreather 10 rounds for time, alternating full rounds with your partner: 24/18 Calorie Row 16 Shoulder to Overhead 115/75lbs Time Cap: 20 minutes Community 10 rounds for time, alternating full rounds with your partner: 20/14 Calorie Row 16 Shoulder to Overhead 75/55lbs Time Cap: 20 minutes
