About This Competition

Come join us for Battle on Bedford! This fitness competition will include fun and challenging programming for M/M and F/F teams of 2. There are 3 events and it is accessible to both experienced and new competitors, with RX and scaled divisions. In the case of a tie, there is a bonus unannounced 4th event to serve as the tiebreaker. Get ready to challenge your fitness with us in Lynchburg, VA!

*Early Bird cost ($120/team) ends Sunday, 2/15 at 11:59pm. Regular registration ($170/team) ends Sunday, 4/19 at 11:59pm. Sign-up by 4/12 at 11:59pm to get one t-shirt per athlete included in your signup cost.

*One partner working at a time. Partners will share an echo bike. There are 4 AMRAPS with 1:00 rest between. The first 3 AMRAPS are 2:30 in duration. The last AMRAP is 3:30 in duration. Every set, the barbell weight increases. During the 1:00 rest, athletes will change the barbell weight. Score is total clean and jerk reps accumulated during the workout. In the case of a tie, the tie breaker is the cumulative amount of time taken on EACH bike (If the four bike times were 1:25, 1:30, 1:30, and 1:35 then the team's tiebreak time would be 6:00)

*All work is split as desired. All movements follow the most recent open standards. Pullup movements may be strict, kipping, or butterfly (but no jumping pullups). 15:00 time cap. In the case of a tie, the tiebreak is the time at which the team completed their second pulling movement (chest to bar for RX, level 2 ring rows for scaled).

ZEUS (EVENT 1)

8 rounds (4 each partner)

10/8 cal row

10 burpees over rower

10 DB box step overs (RX 50s/35s, 24/20”) (Scaled 35s/25s, 24/20”)

 

You-Go-I-Go rounds. Burpees over rower must be a jump, but do not have to have a two-foot takeoff. DB box step overs must be held farmer’s style. You do not need to stand all the way up on the box. 16:00 time cap. In the event of a tie, the tiebreak is the time at which the team completes 4 rounds (2 per partner).
