Battle for the Bravest 2026
About This Competition
Battle for the Bravest is a fitness competition aimed to bring all aspects of the fitness community together and support first responders, public safety and law enforcement. All of the proceeds of this event goes to the Roanoke Valley Firefighters Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization that provides support to the families of fallen Fire‐EMS workers who have died in the Line of Duty. Join us for this two-person team competition (MM/FF/MF) and support an awesome cause on September 19, 2026. This unique event will feature exercises in a format that pays homage to the training that our local first responders go through; think sled drags, sandbags, and yoke carrying! Workouts will be accessible to all skill levels, even those that don't have much experience in a traditional CrossFit setting.

Registrations can be transferred, but refunds will not be issued. In the event of sickness or injury, substitutions will be permitted up to the day before the event.
Workouts will be released at least a week before the event.

*All listed weights are working weights. Standards are close approximations of the weights for the programmed workouts. Be prepared to perform monostructural movements such as running, biking, rowing, skiing, etc. Please keep in mind that these standards are to be used as a guide in selecting the appropriate division. This list is not exclusive. Being able to perform the movements above suggests that you also have the capacity to perform other movements that you may not see on this list.
