2019

Compete in VETWOD, the second annual online-only functional fitness competition to benefit GallantFew, an organization that fights to ease the transition from active duty to civilian life.


You can view movement standards by division by clicking on the division names.


Workouts will take place September 2-September 23, one workout per week. Workouts will open and close for submission on Mondays at 8:00CST and Mondays at 8:00CST, as well.

Individual Workout

On a 15 minute clock, counting down (15:00 to 0:00)

Part A: from 15:00 to 8:00

AMRAP

10 alternating front rack lunges* 

5 shoulder to overhead*

Rest from 8:00-6:00

Part B: from 6:00 to 0:00 

Build to heaviest set of 3 touch and go deadlifts

Weights

Service/RX: 95/65 if using a barbell or 50/35 if using dumbbells (must use two)

Scaled/Masters: 65/45 if using a barbell or 35/20 if using dumbbells (must use two)

Men use a 45# barbell. Women use a 35# barbell.


Team WORKOUT

On a 15 minute clock, counting down (15:00 to 0:00)

PART A: FROM 15:00 TO 8:00

AMRAP

10 alternating front rack lunges* 

5 shoulder to overhead*

**You go, I go format. Partner 1 completes Round 1, Partner 2 completes round 2, etc**

REST FROM 8:00-6:00

PART B: FROM 6:00 TO 0:00 

Build to heaviest set of 3 touch and go deadlifts

**Partner deadlift. All 4 hands on bar, arms fully locked out**

WEIGHTS

95/65 if using a barbell or 50/35 if using dumbbells (must use two)

Male/male teams use a 45# barbell. FF teams may use a 35# barbell. MF teams may choose either, but must show the weight in a video.

WEIGHTS

RX/Service:

Buy-in: 50/35DBs (2), 24/20inch box

AMRAP: 115/75 barbell or 50/35 DB (double DB snatches from the ground if using DB for snatches)

Scaled/Masters:

Buy-in: 35/20DBs, 20/16 box, knees to chest.

AMRAP: 85/55 barbell or 35/20 DB (double DB snatches from the ground if using DB for snatches), jumping pull-ups, single-unders


TEAM WORKOUT

*Partners begin each movement at the same time but they can’t move onto the next movement until both partners have completed each 15 reps*

FOR EXAMPLE:

Until both partner A and partner B finish the burpees, they can’t begin the devil press. They will begin each movement together and won’t be considered completed until both are done.
